Peter Thomson, an Australian golfing legend, had a remarkable career. Born in 1929, he secured a total of five victories in The Open Championship, one of golf's major championships, in the 1950s and 1960s. His wins came in 1954, 1955, 1956, 1958, and 1965. Thomson's exceptional skills, particularly in links golf, where he showcased his accurate ball striking and strategic play, made him one of the finest golfers of his era. In addition to his major wins, he had significant success in various other tournaments globally. This auction will end on Wednesday January 31st at 10pm ET with extended bidding to follow. All initial bids must be placed by 10pm ET in order to participate on those lots during extended bidding. Lots with two or more bidders will each have their own 30 minute countdown clock, and it will be extended by 30 minutes any time those lots receive a bid. If no bids are placed on a lot within a 30 minutes time period during extended bidding, the lot will close. A 19.5% Buyer’s Premium will be applied to each item won in auction.
