Tom Fears was an accomplished American football player with a remarkable career in the National Football League (NFL). Born on December 3, 1922, in Guadalajara, Mexico, Fears was a wide receiver known for his exceptional catching abilities and route-running skills. He played the majority of his career for the Los Angeles Rams from 1948 to 1956 and later spent a season with the Green Bay Packers before retiring.
Fears' NFL career highlights include being selected for six Pro Bowl appearances and leading the league in receptions in four seasons. He was a crucial part of the Rams' "Bull Elephant" offense and helped the team secure an NFL Championship in 1951. Fears was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1970, solidifying his legacy as one of the NFL's great receivers of his era.
This auction will end on Wednesday January 31st at 10pm ET with extended bidding to follow. All initial bids must be placed by 10pm ET in order to participate on those lots during extended bidding. Lots with two or more bidders will each have their own 30 minute countdown clock, and it will be extended by 30 minutes any time those lots receive a bid. If no bids are placed on a lot within a 30 minutes time period during extended bidding, the lot will close. A 19.5% Buyer’s Premium will be applied to each item won in auction.
