Cary Middlecoff, born on January 6, 1921, in Halls, Tennessee, had a notable career in professional golf during the mid-20th century. A skilled dentist turned golfer, Middlecoff showcased exceptional talent and precision on the golf course. He turned professional in 1947 and went on to win 40 tournaments on the PGA Tour, including three major championships—the 1955 Masters Tournament, the 1949 and 1956 U.S. Opens.

Known for his smooth swing and strong mental approach, Middlecoff was recognized as one of the top golfers of his era. He had a significant influence on the game, especially with his strategic approach to golf course management. Middlecoff's legacy in golf continues, and he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1986, underscoring his lasting impact on the sport.

This auction will end on Wednesday January 31st at 10pm ET with extended bidding to follow. All initial bids must be placed by 10pm ET in order to participate on those lots during extended bidding. Lots with two or more bidders will each have their own 30 minute countdown clock, and it will be extended by 30 minutes any time those lots receive a bid. If no bids are placed on a lot within a 30 minutes time period during extended bidding, the lot will close. A 19.5% Buyer’s Premium will be applied to each item won in auction.
